Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy is issued by Imperial Labs in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. By purchasing a session or plan on interviewgrill.online, you agree to this policy.

2. Nature of Digital Services

Interview Grill provides digital services (AI simulation sessions) that are consumed in real-time. Once a simulation session has been initiated and AI processing has begun, the service has been substantially delivered and is therefore non-refundable as a general rule.

This is consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, which recognise that digital content services, once accessed, may be exempt from standard return policies.

3. When You Are Eligible for a Refund

We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

Technical Failure on Our End

If a session fails to start or terminates abnormally due to a verified bug or server error on our platform, and you did not receive a verdict or transcript, we will refund that session in full.

Double Charge

If you were charged twice for the same session or plan due to a payment gateway error, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately upon verification.

Unused Sessions on Subscription Cancellation

If you cancel a Monthly Pro subscription before the billing period ends, we will refund unused sessions on a pro-rata basis, calculated from the cancellation date to the billing cycle end.

Payment Captured but Session Not Credited

If your payment was successfully processed but your account was not credited with the purchased sessions, we will either credit your account or refund the payment within 5 business days.

4. When Refunds Are Not Applicable

  • You started a simulation session but were dissatisfied with the AI feedback quality
  • You expected a different outcome in your actual UPSC interview, job interview, or investor pitch
  • You changed your mind after purchasing but before using the sessions
  • Sessions that were consumed (started and completed, even partially)
  • Refund requests made more than 7 days after the transaction date
  • Accounts suspended for violation of our Terms of Service

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us within 7 days of the transaction:

Subject: Refund Request — [Your Order ID]

Include: Your Razorpay Order ID, the date of transaction, the issue encountered, and any screenshots if applicable.

We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and resolve it within 5–7 business days. Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method.

6. Subscription Cancellation

Monthly Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by emailing admin@thegrowthgram.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will retain access to your sessions until the cycle ends.

We do not charge a cancellation fee.

7. Chargeback Policy

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending investigation. We strongly encourage resolving disputes directly with us first — we are committed to fair resolution and typically respond within 24 hours.

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you are unsatisfied with our resolution, you may approach:

  • Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in your district
  • National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC)
