1. Who We Are

Interview Grill (interviewgrill.online) is operated by Imperial Labs, an AI product studio based in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

By using this platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

  • Email address (if you submit via our notification or upgrade form)
  • Name, optional subject, language preference (UPSC intake form)
  • Business name, industry, pitch summary (Shark Tank form)
  • Job role and interview type (Mock Interview form)

2.2 Data Generated Automatically

  • Anonymous device identifier (used to enforce free session limits)
  • Session transcripts and AI responses (stored to generate your verdict card)
  • Voice input (processed in real-time by Sarvam AI for transcription; not stored permanently)
  • IP address, browser type, and referring URL (standard server logs)
  • Usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (anonymised)

2.3 Payment Data

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI IDs, or banking credentials. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs payment data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To run your simulation session and generate scored feedback
  • To create and serve your shareable verdict card
  • To enforce the 2-session free limit via your device identifier
  • To email you when payment launches (only if you opted in)
  • To improve our AI models and question quality (aggregated, anonymised)
  • To display relevant ads via Google AdSense
  • To measure platform traffic and usage patterns via Google Analytics 4

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not use your data for purposes beyond those listed above without your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party processors. Each has their own privacy policy and data processing terms:

5. Data Retention

  • Session transcripts: Retained for 12 months to power your history dashboard, then deleted.
  • Email addresses: Retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.
  • Device identifiers: Retained for 12 months for free-limit enforcement.
  • Voice input: Processed in real-time and not stored beyond the current turn.
  • Server logs: Automatically purged after 90 days.

6. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023

As a data principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access — know what personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Grievance redressal — file a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see below)
  • Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise rights on your behalf

To exercise any of these rights, email our Grievance Officer at admin@thegrowthgram.com with subject line "Privacy Request — [Your Name]". We will respond within 15 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies to serve relevant ads. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

Interview Grill is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data on our platform, contact us immediately at admin@thegrowthgram.com.

9. Security

We implement reasonable security practices as required under the IT SPDI Rules, 2011, including HTTPS encryption, access-controlled databases (Supabase with row-level security), and API key rotation. No system is completely secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us responsibly at admin@thegrowthgram.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we will notify registered users via email.

12. Governing Law
